About the role
We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer / Architect with strong hands-on experience in AWS, DevOps, and cloud architecture, with a fundamental requirement of proven experience with Amazon Connect (AWS Connect).
This is a senior individual contributor role focused on designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions, particularly contact center solutions built on Amazon Connect. The ideal candidate brings an end-to-end perspective across infrastructure, applications, integrations, data flows, and DevOps practices.
You will work closely with development, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient technical solutions. This position does not require people management or acting as a technical lead, but it does require strong technical autonomy and the ability to contribute to architecture and solutioning decisions.
Requirements
3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Software Architecture, Solution Architecture, or similar roles.
Proven hands-on experience with Amazon Connect (AWS Connect) is required.
Strong experience designing and implementing end-to-end solutions on AWS.
Experience configuring, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based contact center solutions using Amazon Connect.
Experience designing distributed systems and complex integrations.
Strong understanding of environments combining software development, DevOps, and cloud architecture.
Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, such as GitHub Actions or similar.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly AWS CloudFormation.
Experience with container technologies such as Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of data pipelines and data flow design.
Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Strong understanding of cloud security, performance, scalability, availability, and reliability best practices.
AWS certifications at Associate or Professional level are highly valued.
Responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end cloud solutions on AWS.
Design, configure, integrate, and optimize contact center solutions using Amazon Connect.
Contribute to architecture decisions, technical standards, patterns, and cloud best practices.
Design and implement complex integrations between Amazon Connect, AWS services, applications, and external systems.
Design and optimize data flows and data pipelines.
Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
Collaborate closely with software development and DevOps teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
Implement and improve CI/CD strategies and Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation.
Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability, and reliability standards.
Participate in discovery and solutioning sessions, helping translate business needs into technical designs.
Troubleshoot complex cloud and Amazon Connect issues and propose effective technical solutions.
Provide senior-level technical guidance and contribute hands-on to implementation without formal team leadership responsibilities.
